Galactic Tank Force looks set to be American Pinball’s fifth release on Wednesday 22nd March.

American Pinball has announced that the company will officially be unveiling its fifth game, Galactic Tank Force, this Wednesday 22nd March. Said to be “featuring literally a humongous amount of assets” the full game is expected to be presented to the public at the Texas Pinball Festival over the weekend of 24th to 26th March, following American Pinball’s seminar at 5pm on Friday 24th.

Designed by industry legend Dennis Nordman and featuring artwork by Christopher Franchi, when folded down this cool looking space sci-fi themed game is intended to resemble a tank.

Galactic Tank Force:  a Pinball Machine or a Tank!

There are several shots of the cabinet in the teaser video, but no clues about what to expect on the playfield. However Nordman has shared one or two details on social media. According to Dennis, the version of Galactic Tank Force that was shown in the teaser video was the Limited Edition – and the game will also be available in a standard pinball machine cabinet for players who like to have a uniform lineup of pinball machines in their games room.

“Finally!  I can show what I’ve been creating, on and off, for the past few years.  This is the cabinet for my new game, Galactic Tank Force. Of course it didn’t get to this point without the help of many other talented people.  This is the cabinet in its folded up position. It opens to reveal a pinball game inside. This is the Limited Edition for those who have the room and want something cool looking for their game rooms.  It also comes in a standard cabinet for those who like to have a line up of pin games. Will be available for sale by the end of March.”

Pulp Fiction is a 1994 American crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and is widely considered to be Tarantino’s masterpiece. Pulp Fiction’s narrative is told out of chronological order and follows three main interrelated stories that each have a different protagonist: Vincent Vega, a hitman; Butch Coolidge, a prize fighter; and Jules Winnfield, Vincent’s business partner. The film stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames and Uma Thurman.

Pulp Fiction by Chicago Gaming Company is a retro-inspired full-featured modern pinball machine. Developed at the request of Quentin Tarantino who wanted an 1980’s style Pulp Fiction themed pinball machine for his home. Tarantino’s continued involvement throughout the project shaped the final game. Tarantino rarely licenses his intellectual property, it is a unique privilege to produce a game which pays tribute to this masterpiece.

Playfield: More Mechanisms & Greater Depth

Legendary pinball designer Mark Ritchie masterfully crafted a playfield which on its surface appears comparable to games from this era but outside of initial perception features more mechanisms and greater depth than most games produced today. David Thiel forcefully pulls the player into this world utilizing over 250 iconic lines from Pulp Fiction’s legendary cast, five licensed songs from the original movie soundtrack, and a number of original compositions.

Josh Sharpe developed an approachable rule set that is both intuitive and deep enough to engage even the most skilled player. Scott Pikulski’s vintage inspired art package is both stunning and perfectly cohesive.

After teasing their latest release last week, Jersey Jack Pinball today officially unveiled their new The Godfather 50th Anniversary game.

In conjunction with Paramount Pictures, Jersey Jack Pinball brings you into the world of The Godfather. Control territories, gain influence, recruit soldiers, and take out your enemies amongst the Five Families. Designed by Eric Meunier, The Godfather 50 Years pinball machine has two variants; the Collector’s Edition which is limited to 1,000 units and the Limited Edition which is limited to a maximum of 5,000 games.

A Street Level Emporium of Coffee, Artistry and Nostalgia

Fourteen Arrows Tattoo was born and created in October 2015 by its owner Aron Heartfield. 5 years later, Fourteen Arrows has evolved from a small basement studio to a street level emporium of coffee, artistry and nostalgia under a neon glow – the perfect setting for the alternate, retro world of a Stranger Things Pro pinball machine.

Dark Arts Coffee Lounge

Fourteen Arrows’ popular dark arts coffee lounge is a coffee roastery started by friends in East London with twisted visions of using alchemy to combine fire, water and magic beans into a divine elixir.

Their coffee comes from 15 small scale coffee farmers living in ‘La Cordillera de Dipilto’, a mountain range and nature reserve running along the border of Honduras. This mountain range is home to Cerro Mogoton, the highest peak in Nicaragua. As well as being known for the vast array of flora and fauna, the region is famous is famous for its coffee production. What’s not to like!

Stranger Things Pro is the first pinball machine to be installed at Fourteen Arrows. Experience the terrifying forces in Hawkins, Indiana that turn this small town “upside down” with supernatural elements, strange sightings, and government secrets. Foo Fighters pinball machine – Stern’s next announcement?

In tune with the increasing popularity of their music, the last few years has seen the emergence of an increasing number of re-branded Foo Fighters pinball machines, with more than one based on Stern’s 2011 Rolling Stones. However, recent rumours have emerged that an official Stern Pinball Foo Fighters machine is about to be announced. So how true might these rumours be, and if a Foo Fighters pinball does emerge, what might it look like?

11 Grammys & 30 million records worldwide

From their formation by ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994, Foo Fighters have grown to be one of the most popular rock bands in the world. Along the way the band has released nine studio albums, won 11 Grammy Awards and sold more than 30 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands of all time.

Given the success of Stern’s other rock-themed pins including Kiss, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Rush, what are the chances of a Foo Fighters pinball being the next big thing to emerge from Elk Grove Village? Before the sad and untimely passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters were at the height of their power, so releasing a pinball machine now would make sense. And Dave Grohl’s close relationship with Paul Stanley of Kiss certainly shortens the odds of a Foo Fighters game being created by Stern. So, what would a Stern Foo Fighters pinball machine look like?

Any self-respecting FF pinball machine would recreate an atmospheric rock concert under glass, featuring the best of their hits including: All My Life, Best of You, Everlong, The Pretender, My Hero, Learn to Fly, Times Like These, Monkey Wrench and Breakout.
