ABBA Pinball Machine Announced by Pinball Brothers

ABBA pinball machine has now been announced by Pinball Brothers, with a launch event for the game being held on April 6th at 18:00 local time, marking the 50th anniversary of ABBA winning the Eurovision Song Contest.

ABBA Pinball: Limited and Collector’s Edition

According to Knapp Arcade the new ABBA pinball machine will come in two variants, the regular or “Arrival” Limited Edition and the “Voyage” Collector Edition version. Total ABBA Production is limited to 800 units, 300 Collector Editions and 500 Limited Editions. It features more than 20 of ABBAs greatest hits and music videos, a fully interactive “Arrival Helicopter” from the iconic Arrival album cover and a disco ball.

Creating Abbatars

The Medallion of Power is your magic key during this journey. Piece it together and let the rapid voyage through time and dimensions begin. Creating their Abbatars requires you to gather three main elements: the band members instruments, outfits – and their souls. When you manage to obtain them all, you must travel back in time to follow their footsteps during their tours in the 70’s and 80’s: Sweden, the Nordics, Europe, USA, Australia and Japan.

A pinball machine themed after ABBA would captivate a broad range of music enthusiasts. As a band that transcends generations, ABBA’s appeal spans from teenagers to grandparents, with classics like “Dancing Queen” resonating across age groups. The movie ‘Mamma Mia,’ starring Meryl Streep, has deepened the affection for ABBA, a group that, despite parting ways thirty-five years ago, never officially disbanded.

Pinball Brothers: ABBA Teasers?

Pinball Brothers recently shared another teaser video for its upcoming third pinball machine. The first video the company shared showed a helicopter that contained a cool ball-lock mechanism. The helicopter featured was the renowned Bell 47G, which Intriguingly is prominently displayed on the cover of “Arrival,” ABBA’s fourth studio album and one of their most acclaimed works, famously featuring the hit “Dancing Queen.”

Pinball Brothers latest teaser offers a glimpse of a disco ball, bolstering speculation that the machine will celebrate the iconic Swedish band. Accompanying the disco ball visual is the slogan “REVIVE THE THRILL.”

The official unveiling of the game is set for Saturday, April 6th, at the Clarion Hotel Örebro in Örebro, Sweden. Notably, this date aligns with the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s Eurovision victory, when ABBA were Sweden’s first ever winner of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Waterloo”, adding a layer of historical significance to this Pinball Brother’s launch event.

Updated Ripley Version Code for Alien Pinball

According to Knapp Arcade, owners of Pinball Brothers’ Alien pinball machine have been anxiously awaiting the company’s upcoming code update for the game, that now includes the previously missing Sigourney Weaver character Ellen Ripley and a bunch more scenes from the movie. This morning the Company shared the first sneak peek of the new code on its Facebook page.

The new four minute video shows off quite a bit of Alien’s new code, Version 4.0. Pinball Brothers says that it will release the new code in its updated Ripley version machines and for all existing Pinball Brothers’ Aliens owners “very soon.”

BurgerTime Video Game at Sound Leisure

BurgerTime Video Game

The BurgerTime Video Game installed alongside the James Bond Pinball Pro Edition, originally released as Hamburger in Japan, is a 1982 arcade video game from Data East released initially for its DECO Cassette System. The player is chef Peter Pepper, who must walk over hamburger ingredients in a maze of platforms and ladders while avoiding anthropomorphic hot dogs, fried eggs, and pickles which are in pursuit.

The object of the game is to build a number of hamburgers while avoiding enemy foods. The player controls the protagonist, chef Peter Pepper, with a four-position joystick and a “pepper” button.

Each level is a maze of platforms and ladders in which giant burger ingredients (bun, meat patty, tomato, lettuce) are arranged. When Peter walks the full length of an ingredient, it falls to the level below, knocking down any ingredient that happens to be there. A burger is completed when all of its vertically aligned ingredients have been dropped out of the maze and onto a waiting plate. The player must complete all burgers to finish the board.

Stern Pinball, Inc. announces their newest pinball games featuring JAWS, one of the most iconic motion picture thrillers of all time from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.  Players will experience all four blockbuster JAWS films like never before, with brand-new mechanical features inspired by iconic movie moments and state-of-the-art technology.

JAWS transports players to the fictional locale of Amity Island, located off the coast of Long Island, New York.  The small fishing community is a popular beach vacation location in the summer.  As Fourth of July vacationers close in on the island’s picturesque beaches, grave danger lurks below sea level… The Amity Island mayor covers up the shark attacks out of fear of losing the island’s tourism money, resulting in more terrifying attacks.

Pokemon Pinball Machine – Stern has the wherewithal!

Created in 1995 by Satoshi Tajiri, Pokemon began life as a pair of video games for the original Nintendo Game Boy. Fast approaching its 30th year, the Pokémon video game series is now the second best-selling video game franchise of all time.

Pocket Monsters

The original name of the franchise in Japanese was Pocket Monsters, which was abbreviated to Pokemon during development of the original games. The franchise takes place in a shared universe in which humans co-exist with creatures known as Pokémon, a large variety of species endowed with special powers. With its colourful cast of characters, exciting battles, and collecting themed game mechanics, a Pokémon pinball machine would make for an exciting and immersive pinball universe. And the popularity of the franchise would help introduce pinball to a whole new audience.

Rumours of a Pokemon pinball machine

Rumours of a Pokemon pinball machine have abound for many years, and a number of good-looking homebrew machines have appeared along the way. More recently Stern’s name has been mentioned in connection with a possible launch, and following the monster success of Godzilla, a Pokemon follow up would make perfect sense. But will a new Pokmon Pinball machine be a Stern production? A recent feature on Knapp Arcade and the resulting chatter on Pinside certainly seems to point that way, however Kineticist suggests that Pokemon is on Stern Pinball’s radar but is not yet in production. Or is it?

Game Boy Pokémon Pinball 20th Anniversary

2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Game Boy Advance Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, which was a sequel to the original Pokémon Pinball Game Boy. The recent anniversary social media posts have seen fans begging The Pokemon Company for a revival. So, could Stern be looking to bridge that gap?

Spooky Pinball’s latest offering is set inside the Acme Factory where Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are helping lead their friends to collect film footage, and restore the factory recently destroyed by the Tasmanian Devil.

The pinball machine features original Golden Era Looney Tunes Clips, and features the incredibly talented and official Looney Tunes Voice Actor Eric Bauza. It also features original Music by Matt Montgomery, Custom Sculpts from Back Alley Creations, Coded by Rick and Morty’s Eric Priepke, and story/rules by Luke Peters.

The game features a variety of major mechs, some of which being an interactive acme vault bash toy, and an Anvil Loading Space Rocket Ball Lock Mechanism. And with 4 ramps and repeatable looping shots, this game has more flow and combo potential than any Spooky game to date.
