Jaws 50th Anniversary Pinball Machine – The Pinball Rumour Mill

Stern launched its Jaws pinball machine at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024 in Las Vegas last January offering Pro, Premium and Limited Edition versions. Designed by Keith Elwin, the game was well received for its dynamic playfield and faithful homage to Spielberg’s 1975 classic.

The LE version was capped at 1,000 units and included exclusive artwork and extra features aimed at collectors. But given Stern’s history of marking cinematic anniversaries, such as the critically acclaimed Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Edition, fans are wondering whether a Jaws 50th Anniversary Pinball machine might be next.

What Might a 50th Anniversary Edition Include?

While nothing official has been announced, it wouldn’t be unusual for Stern to issue a special run featuring updated cabinet art, additional gameplay modes, and perhaps an extended audio package to mark the occasion. A 50th anniversary version might also include extras such as a numbered plaque, limited edition branding, and some subtle mechanical and visual updates to set it apart from the original release. It’s also feasible that Stern could introduce a commemorative topper and enhanced led lighting to really set this version apart.

Jaws 50th Anniversary Pinball Machine – not long to wait?

For those who missed out on the LE, it may be worth keeping a keen eye out to see if Stern confirms anything.  And with the 50^th anniversary right around the corner, you may not have too long to wait.

To date the company has made no official comment. But, given the importance of the anniversary, coupled with how well Jaws was received at last year’s launch, an enhanced follow-up would make good commercial sense.
