Taito Ice Cold Beer

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the game, Ice Cold Beer was a mechanical arcade machine that was produced by Taito in 1983. The object of the game was to use the two joysticks to tip the bar back and forth and manoeuvre the ball up to a specific lit hole on the playfield, while avoiding unlit holes.

Original games are much sought after and demand has seen the price of pristine machines rise sharply. The new offering from MC Global Games should help fulfil this growing demand and allow arcade enthusiasts and home users alike to buy themselves a brand new state of the art game which still retains the original 1980’s retro feel.

MC Global Ice Cold Beer

MC Global’s Ice Cold Beer remake is packaged with a new cabinet design and new artwork. The playfield in an amber colour and the holes on the playfield are suggestive of bubbles rising in a mug of beer.

As per the original, the two joysticks on the control panel control the height of the two ends of a metal bar that moves up and down the playfield and a metal ball rolling back and forth on the bar. It is up to you to control the ball and put it into the target hole that has the blinking LED. The are 10 target holes to finish the game, each harder to get to having increasingly more dead holes to negotiate on the playfield.

The game also features an in-built thermal printer to allow players to print off winning scores and allow them to claim their prize. The game also stores all player results and will print off analytics, so you know precisely how your game is performing.
