Their critical acclaim and influence match the Hall of Fame band’s commercial success in the world of rock music and pinball.

Metallica Remastered pinball has been updated with a full-color LCD display featuring all-new animations and live concert video footage. Stern’s modern Spike 2 electronics will power the gameplay experience.  Fans will enjoy expanded gameplay and improved presentation with 22 songs (8 more than the original) and expanded gameplay rules. Cabinet improvements include an Expression Lighting system and 2 all-new art packages by Metallica artist Rhys Cooper.  Players will experience the same great flow from the original Metallica playfield layout with geometry and mechanical improvements, new versions of gameplay toys, updated mechanical devices, and new UV lighting effects.

Meticulously Remastered Metallica

Stern Pinball has meticulously remastered Metallica, respecting the original classic by John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. Led by Borg and Raymond Davidson, the updated version enhances Borg’s playfield with new sculptures—Sparky, the Hammer, RGB-illuminated skulls, and a Metallica logo on the back panel—along with UV lighting effects. Quality and durability refinements have also been made. The iconic Sheats rule set is enhanced with two new modes inspired by Metallica’s albums *72 Seasons* and *Hardwired…to Self-Destruct*, plus a new “Blackened” Wizard Mode. The game adds over 1,000 speech calls from the band, new sound effects, and eight integrated Metallica songs. The Limited Edition includes advanced lighting systems, available as upgrades for Premium models.

Limited to 500 games globally, the highly collectible Limited Edition model includes the Expression Lighting System™ and Speaker Expression Lighting, synchronized to custom light every song and dynamically respond to game events. The LE version also includes a full-colour Remastered mirrored backglass, full-colour reflective high definition cabinet decals with hand-drawn artwork by Rhys Cooper, exclusive custom powder-coated pinball armour, a custom designer-autographed bottom arch, upgraded audio system, anti-reflection pinball playfield glass, shaker motor, a sequentially numbered plaque, and a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Metallica Remastered also integrates Stern’s Insider Connected™ platform, allowing players to engage with a global network, track progress, and receive ongoing code updates. Players can earn game-specific achievements and enjoy exclusive Challenge Modes, including four “Crank it Up” modes and the “End of Line” Wizard Mode.
